Automatic pool cleaners come in all shapes, styles and types. The three types of cleaners are pressure-side, suction-side and robotic. Pressure side pool cleaners and suction side pool cleaners use your pool’s filter system to run along the bottom of your pool. Suction side cleaners suck up water and use your filter system to catch the debris. A pressure side cleaner uses water pressure to push the debris up and into a filter bag attached to the cleaner.
Robotic pool cleaners use the best of both while removing the use of your filter system. All you do is plug in your cleaner to a standard outlet and drop it in your pool. It sucks water up and into a fine mesh filter bag inside the cleaner without ever using your filter system. It’s also the fastest.
