Magazine storage can be a bit tricky depending on how long you are planning on store the magazines for. If you are like me you have some magazines (home improvement) that you like to keep on hand due to some of the ideas in them. This way you can access them at a later point so you can remember the specific methods inside them.
The problem with this is that if you are planning on storing your magazines something like some decorative magazine storage boxes, you have to consider that it may not be able to correctly preserve the pages.
Short Term Storage
Cardboard magazine storage boxes are one of the cheapest methods to store your magazines. The problem is that if you are accessing these magazines fairly regularly the cardboard can get pretty beaten up and then start falling apart. So if you plan on regular access to your magazines, plastic magazine storage boxes are a much better choice. It is easy to stack these boxes and move them about as they usually have great built in handles. Store the magazines upright rather than on top of each other for easy access.
Long Term Storage
Having a climate controlled storage unit is important for long term storage due to the type of paper that magazines are printed on. Start by picking up a few magazine file storage boxes from almost any storage store or online. When packing into the box, alternate the direction of the spine and place some hard cardboard between is magazine. This will stop the magazines from warping and sticking together. Finish by sealing the entire box in archival plastic wrap.
So whether you need long term or short term storage there are a lot of magazine storage boxes to choose from depending on your application and duration.
