You probably have at least one plastic storage boxes at home. It lives in a cupboard somewhere or in the garage storing items that you don’t use very often. If you don’t then you are probably going to be pretty happy about what you are about to read.
Plastic storage boxes have been around for many years now, although the original models were rather plain and boring. Especially compared to today’s models with ergonomic handles and the ability to lock in as you stack them on top of each other.
Large plastic storage boxes can be bought for use when moving house. They are much stronger than cardboard boxes. Also, once you have moved in you usually don’t unpack everything straight away, these plastic storage boxes can continue to store your items in cupboards or closets until you are ready to unpack them. If you are moving to a smaller place then you can store them in the roof, garage or a storage facility without worrying about dust and dirt.
On the other end of the scale small plastic shoe storage boxes can be used for keeping your shoes tidy. One stacked upon the other inside a wardrobe is much better than having them scattered along the bottom or around your room. Ikea and the like also sell shelving with square alcoves that small boxes and baskets can fit on for easy and great looking storage.
I recommend buying clear plastic storage boxes because they allow you to see what items are inside without having to open the lid and dig through them. The only exception to buying a clear plastic storage box would be when you are storing in an open environment. Lets say you have the kids toys stored in a box in the corner; an opaque plastic storage box looks much neater and inconspicuous. You can also get them in a variety of colors to much the theme of the room.
