Cleaning is a task that all of us have to do, yet I have never met any one that likes spending time cleaning. There are ways that you can cut the time that you spend cleaning and this article takes a look at two ways that you can do just that.
Organization
If you have a utility room, garage or shed consider the possibility of using plastic storage bins. These bins are great for keeping in laundry that needs washing or ironing, or in the shed collections of tools and bits and pieces that very rarely get used but you want to know where they are. Although not an ideal storage solution putting things in to plastic storage bins that are difficult to stack becomes a very neat way of dealing with the problem and visually makes the room look much tidier. It is also much easier to dust the outside of a box that it is to have to individually dust each of the items that the box contains.
Convenient Storage
Convenient storage means storage that you are far more likely to use. This means that you want to put storage where you will actually use it. For example a coffee table with drawers in it next to the sofa – you could keep all of your remote controls, newspaper and magazines in this, and they are just where you want them – next to the sofa. A bedside cabinet is another good example of convenient storage – you can keep your books or magazines tidied away so that you spend less time cleaning and dusting individual items.
In conclusion by organising your home and reducing the number of individual items that you need to dust you can significantly reduce the amount of time you spend cleaning. By spending less time cleaning you will have far more time to spend doing what you choose to do.
