With the coming of the Compact Disc music went digital. Tapes were phased out and clean crisp audio with the ability to skip tracks instantly was born. Now music doesn’t even make it to a CD but instead stays digital and is downloadable online from places like iTunes and Amazon. ISP’s and phone manufacturers have also joined the game because music can be played on almost any handheld device now.
So what are you going to do with all your old CDs? You have no doubt ripped them onto your computer so that you can store all your music in a large digital database so that you play them at will with the click of your mouse. What you need are some cardboard CD storage boxes.
Stackable Plastic CD Storage Boxes
This type of storage box is probably one of the most common types of storage box. Being able to stack several boxes on top of each other gives you the flexibility to arrange you CDs however you like. It also does not matter how many CDs you have as you can simply buy an additional box if your original boxes fill up. For safety purposes if you are storing a lot of CD’s I would recommend buying large (100 – 500 CD) storage boxes and not stacking them. For a bit more style look into leather CD storage boxes.
Wall Mounted CD Storage Boxes
A wall mounted CD storage box does not usually enclose the entire CD. These are usually more fashionable and are a great way to add some style to your home. The CDs are held up by a metal frame while resting against the wall so that they don’t fall off. These are a great tool for displaying your CD collection to any guests that may come over to your house.
Media Carousel CD And DVD Storage Boxes
Ok so let’s say that you burn a lot of what you download to CD and DVD and you want somewhere to put all these CDs that doesn’t involve buying 150+ CD cases or slips. I recommend getting a media carousel. This is an electric carousal that stores your CDs that you put in. You can then call them up on your computer database at any time with a click of your mouse. It takes a little set up but is definitely worth it in the end.
So there you have it, 3 great ways to store all your CDs that are lying around the place.
